Originally released in ’08 (Sundance Official Selection and Winner of Indie Spirits Best Doc), the film follows Canadian heavy-metal icons ANVIL who would inspire the likes of Anthrax and Metallica, and then drop off the map to begin what would become decades of toiling in obscurity. Director and former roadie Sacha Gervasi follows guitarist Steve “Lips” Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner as they stumble through an early 2000’s Euro tour and reflect on failure, friendship, resilience and the will to follow even the most impossible of dreams.

This cult classic has been re-mastered, and is also an extended version, which follows up on where the original left off. Since the doc’s original release it has only expanded upon Anvil’s legacy/influence with notable recent champions such as Coldplay, Jay-Z, Linda Perry, Olivia Coleman, Margot Robbie and more.

Tonight’s event also includes a Q&A moderated by Steve O (Jackass, Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, Jackass 3D, Jackass Forever, Wldboyz, Ddr. Steve-O), and a live performance by ANVIL and special appearances from surprise musical guests.
