Paris Escovedo has played percussion since an early age. Some of his fondest memories are when he used to play on plastic cans while his dad, Thomas ” Coke” Escovedo, was conducting open rehearsals at the Fillmore in San Francisco, in the band Azteca. Paris had the very unique opportunity to be present when his father would have rehearsals that included artists like Carlos Santana, Lou Rawls, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Herbert Hancock and Stevie Wonder. He also gives credit to Tito Puente, because Tito was the first to give Paris his own drum set when he was only five years of age. Paris has performed and recorded with Bobby Brown, Pink, Shaun Mullins, Angie Stone, Arrested Development, Lauryn Hill, Speech, and Malo to name a few.
