Following a lauded UK debut, WORDTheatre® and Ocean Rising present the US debut of THE OCEAN: OUR LIQUID UNIVERSE, an exhilarating fusion of music, songs, stories, poems, myths and scientific wonders performed by an All-Star cast of actors, singers and musicians at the famed Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. This one-night-only benefit is a celebration of our blue planet across the centuries!

Against the backdrop of a thrilling score led by Musical Director, Starr Parodi & Conductor, Anthony Parnther, an ensemble of well-known actors and singers including Keith David (The Lowdown), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2), Jason Butler Harner (Ozark), Bellamy Young (Scandal), Stephen Tobolowsky (Freakier Friday), Xander Berkeley (The Walking Dead), Gina Bellman (Leverage), Jason George (Grey’s Anatomy), Cassidy Freeman (The Righteous Gemstones), Ray Panthaki (Marcella), Tracie Thoms (Rent) , Bruce Vilanch (Hairspray), and narrators Dave Fennoy & Iona Morris, will bring to life the finest ocean-themed literature woven together with historical and scientific information, myths, poems, songs, science fiction, jokes, and memoir and interview excerpts from around the world.

The script was created by WORDTheatre Artistic Director Cedering Fox with support from Ocean Rising, an initiative launched by the Schmidt Ocean Institute & Nekton to create advocates for The Ocean.
