Event Details

Blues icon, soul man, rock and roller, Robert Cray is one of American music’s most enduring and singular voices. Inspired early by the sounds of the 1960s, Cray built his career through decades of dedication, integrity, and unmistakable style, becoming a key figure in modern blues and soul.

Rising from the Pacific Northwest, Cray earned his reputation the hard way—touring relentlessly, refining his songwriting, and developing a guitar style and vocal delivery rooted in emotional truth. His breakthrough came in the mid-1980s, when his music crossed genre boundaries and introduced blues and soul to a new generation, without compromising its depth or authenticity.

Across more than five decades, Cray has sold millions of records, released 19 studio albums, won five Grammy Awards, and earned induction into the Blues Hall of Fame. He has collaborated with and earned the respect of many of the most influential figures in blues, rock, and soul, while remaining fiercely committed to musical excellence.

In recent years, Cray’s work has continued to evolve, marked by greater vocal range, deeper emotional resonance, and masterful songwriting. His later albums rank among the strongest of his career, proving that his music remains as vital and relevant as ever.

Few artists sustain this level of artistry for over half a century. Robert Cray has done so by staying true to the music—playing every note like it matters, and every song like it might be his last.
