Layali Zaman Academy Orchestra is a community orchestra playing traditional and contemporary music
from the Middle East in Los Angeles since 2014. Led by Maestro Adel Eskandar from Egypt, Layali Zaman
will take you on a musical journey across the Middle East and North Africa, featuring many local singers as
well as musical guests.
This 30-piece ensemble will feature uncommon traditional instruments, solo performances and chorus
singers. Our guest musicians include some of the top instrumental virtuosos and the most gifted vocal
superstars.
Maestro Adel Eskandar is a renowned musician who has performed with a wide range of prominent
musicians on the international level. A graduate of the Conservatory of Arabic Music in Egypt, he now resides
in southern California, having performed and recorded globally with acclaimed artists including Led Zepplin and
Ken Habib.
